Home Care Services

 

In Home Care

Non-Medical home care services assist older people to live independently in their own home by helping them with the task of everyday living. These services are non-medical in nature and are delivered by qualified personnel and are sensitive to the unique needs of the client and community. These services do not require the supervision of a registered nurse and not require a physician's order. The tasks to be performed by home care workers are non-medical in nature and do not require clinical judgment and may be performed by unlicensed individuals. Home care services include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal care, which includes assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility assistance, incontinence care, feeding and medication reminding.

  • Homemaking, which includes assistance with housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, respite and transportation for appointments, errands, shopping and outings.

  • Companionship/Sitting, which includes non-medical, basic supervision to ensure a client's safety and well-being.

  • Respite, which provides assistance and support to primary caregivers.

  • Friendly Reassurance, which includes making contact with home bound clients.

  • Chores, which include minor home maintenance and yard work.

 

Nursing Visits

Lending A Hand Community Home Care, "LLC" will provide nursing services for persons who are home bound and physically unable to visit a physician's office or other treatment facility. The nurse visit several patients to conduct assessments, take vital signs, give medications, dress wounds and educate patients.

 

Our Registered Nurses (RNs) at Lending A Hand Community Home Care, “LLC” is personally and actively involved in your loved one’s care. The nurse will conduct a full nursing assessment and customize a personal care plan on clients in need of personal.  The registered nurse will supervise other nurses, conduct periodic nursing assessments, and monitor your loved one’s care to make sure it stays in line with his or her changing needs.

 

Whether your loved one is simply dealing with the normal struggles of aging or coping with the effects of Alzheimer’s or dementia, your family will be comforted knowing there is a local medical professional overseeing their care.
